In a time when veganism is often just the punchline of a joke, I decided to lean in and put those jokes to work for us. Instead of bombarding folks with the grim reality of factory farming—where over 10 billion animals suffer miserably each year in the U.S. for our consumption—and Animal Ag’s generous contribution to climate devastation, I’m inviting viewers into a world of endearingly unconventional cast members. These characters will make them laugh, love, and learn just a bit about the sentience, intelligence, and humor of these uproarious rescued residents. This, in turn, will encourage veganism, drastically reduce animal agriculture, conserve precious resources for humans, directly decelerate climate change and, ultimately, help save the world.
